Jürgen Wild

Jürgen Wild (born August 26, 1961 ) is a German industrial manager . After his time as an officer in the troop service of the Bundeswehr, he was CEO of Cegelec Germany (2001-2004), VA Tech Elin EBG (2004/05), Austrian Energy & Environment (2005-2008) and M + W Group (2008-2013) . Wild is currently working as a management consultant and managing director of the RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft.

Life

Officer in the Bundeswehr

Wild was a contract soldier in the Bundeswehr for twelve years . He trained as an army officer and studied mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich ( graduate engineer ). Wild was u. a. Used as platoon leader and company commander in the tank troops . He retired from the rank of captain of the reserve .

Career as a manager

After his engagement, Wild began a career in the private sector. In 1991 he went to the French energy company Alstom in Nuremberg . From 1998 to 2001 he was Senior Vice President for International Power Plant Services for Alstom Power Generation in Paris . He was responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. After this position, Wild became head of Germany with responsibility for the non-European area of ​​the French plant and automation technology group Cegelec in Frankfurt am Main . In early 2004 he became Senior Vice President for Marketing and Sales at the Cegelec Group in Brussels.

At the end of 2004 he became a member of the board of the Austrian technology group VA Technologie AG and chairman of the board of the associated infrastructure division Elin EBG in Linz . In 2005 he was elected to the full board of Siemens Austria . A little later he left the group in order to become CEO of the system provider Austrian Energy & Environment AG in Raaba near Graz in December 2005 . From 2008 he was CEO of the German plant engineering company M + W Group GmbH in Stuttgart for six years , which is owned by the Austrian investor Georg Stumpf .

Wild then went into business for himself as a management consultant. Since 2014 he has been co-managing director of the newly established RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Essen , to which he was appointed at the instigation of Werner Müller .

Activity in other committees

Wild is currently a member of the supervisory board of the SAG Group (since 2013) in Langen and of SolarWorld (since 2014) in Bonn. From 2006 to 2008 he was a member of the Board of Directors of Von Roll Umwelttechnik AG and Von Roll Inova Holding AG in Zurich , Switzerland.

He is a member of other committees: Wild is on the International Advisory Board of the UCL Energy Institute in London. In his role as CEO, he became a supporter of the 2 ° Foundation , a climate policy initiative of managers and entrepreneurs. He was a founding member of the Desertec Industrial Initiative think tank and is on the Managing Committee of the East Asian Association .

Wild took in the past and a. participated in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Wild lives in Vaucresson near Paris; he is married and has two children. He speaks German, English and French.
