JP Morgan China Squash Open 2018

The JP Morgan China Squash Open 2018 took place from September 5th to 9th, 2018 in Shanghai , People's Republic of China . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category . At the same time, a women's squash tournament of the 2018/19 PSA World Tour took place. It also belonged to the PSA World Tour Gold category .

Last year's winners were Ramy Ashour for men and Nour El Sherbini for women. Mohamed Abouelghar won the men's title after defeating Paul Coll 11: 8, 11: 8 and 11: 8 in the final. Raneem El Weleily prevailed against Camille Serme in the women's finals , she won the game with 11: 5, 8:11, 11: 6 and 11: 5.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 24 players each. The eight best players were seeded and received a bye in the first round. Per Wildcard received Wang Junjie and Li Dongjin each a spot in the main draw.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 120,500 each.
