J1 Casablanca
The J1 Casablanca (officially Méditerranée Avenir Casablanca ) is a World Junior Tennis Tournament , held annually in the 1996 Moroccan city of Casablanca by the International Tennis Federation is discharged. The clay court event belongs to the second highest tournament category G1, making it the most important junior tennis competition in North Africa .

When it premiered in 1996, the tournament , then still called Méditerranée 2000, was in the lowest category G5. In the following years, the gradually upgraded competition was held alternately on clay and hard courts before the decision in 1999 finally fell on sand as the playing surface. In 2008 the tournament was promoted to class G1 and was postponed from July to the preparatory phase of the French Open in 2013 . The following year the competition was rescheduled again and will now take place at the beginning of March.
