Jablonové (Hungarian Almásfalu - until 1907 Jablonófalu ) is a municipality in northwestern Slovakia with 911 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019), which belongs to the Okres Bytča , part of the Žilinský kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the Súľovské vrchy Mountains by the Hradnianka brook in the catchment area of the Waag . The center of the village is located at an altitude of 340 m nm and is six and a half kilometers from Bytča and 15 kilometers from Považská Bystrica .
Neighboring municipalities are Bytča (part of Hrabové ) in the north and east, Súľov-Hradná in the south-east and Predmier in the west.
history
In the immediate vicinity there were two fortresses of the Puchau culture .
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1268 as Jabluna and at that time belonged to the dominion of the Súľov Castle . Until the 15th century, little is known about the place itself, in 1480 it became the property of an ancestor of the Maršovský family . In the Porta directory from 1548 it is expressly reported that it belonged to the territory of the Hričov Castle , and the place also had a judge. In 1598 the village had 22 houses, in 1828 there were 31 houses and 272 inhabitants, whose main sources of income were forestry and agriculture. A census in 1851 gives the following denominational breakdown: 248 Catholics, 17 Lutherans and 10 Jews.
The municipality in Trenčín County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then became part of Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 861 inhabitants in Jablonové, 852 of them Slovaks . 9 residents gave no information on ethnicity .
825 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 7 residents to the Evangelical Church AB and one resident to the Orthodox Church; one resident professed a different denomination. 7 residents had no denomination and 20 residents had no denomination.
