Jade Ellis Moore (born October 22, 1990 in Worksop ) is an English football player . The midfielder has played for Reading FC since 2017 and for the English national team since 2012 .

Career

societies

Moore played for the Lincoln Ladies' first team in the Northern Division of the FA Women's Premier League when he was just 15. After the runner-up in 2007 she moved to the National Division Club Leeds United and reached the final of the FA Women's Cup in 2008 , in which they defeated Arsenal 1: 4. In 2010 she won the Premier League Cup by beating Everton 3-1 in the final, making Leeds their first title in women's football.

For the inaugural season of the FA Women's Super League , for which Leeds received no license, she moved to Birmingham City LFC . In the first season she was runner-up with Birmingham and qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League 2012/13 . Here they won their home game against Italian runners-up ASD CF Bardolino 2-0 in the round of 32 , but then lost the second leg 3-0 after extra time. With Birmingham she won the FA Women's Cup 2012 against the Chelsea Ladies on penalties . In addition, she was runner-up with Birmingham in 2011 and 2012.By the runner-up in 2012 , they were also able to start in the UEFA Women's Champions League 2013/14 , where they were only eliminated in the semi-finals against Swedish champions Tyresö FF after a goalless home game with a 3-0 away defeat came. Moore was used in all games and did not miss a minute. Over the next four years, Birmingham moved between 3rd and 6th place and Moore was used less and less. After starting only twice in six games in 2016, she moved this season to Notts County , the successor club to the relocated Lincoln Ladies, for whom she played between 2005 and 2007. The club ended the season in sixth, but withdrew its team two days before the first game of the "Spring Series". Moore then moved to Reading FC Women, who joined the WSL in 2016.

With the "Spring Series", which was held from February to May with eight games per team, the league was to be switched from a summer season to the rhythm of most other European leagues. For Reading, Moore played six of the eight games of the short season, which ended for the club in sixth place. The new season then started in September 2017 and ended in May 2018 with fourth place for Reading. Due to an ankle injury that she suffered in November 2017, she was only able to play 14 games in which she contributed two goals, including one against her ex-club Birmingham. Reading was also able to hold onto fifth in the league in 2018/19.

National team

Moore played in the English U-19, U-20 and U-23 teams, for which she scored eight goals in 21 games. In 2009 she won the European Championship with the U-19 team . In 2008 and 2010 she took part with the U-20 team at the U-20 World Championships in Chile and Germany , but was eliminated in the quarter-finals in 2008 against the eventual winner USA and in the preliminary round in 2010.

In October 2011 she was invited to the senior national team for the first time. On February 28, 2012, she made her first international match in the Cyprus Cup against Finland and also played against Switzerland and in the third-place match against Italy , where she scored her first international goal at 1: 3. Moore was in the English squad for the EM 2013 in Sweden , but was not used.

In 2015 she won the Cyprus Cup with England and was then nominated for the English squad for the World Cup in Canada. She came on as a substitute in the first game against France and started five times after that. In the game for third place, in which England won against Germany for the first time , it was not taken into account.

In the subsequent qualification for the 2017 European Championship , she was used in four games, all of which were won without conceding a goal. Since the English only lost one point in the 1-1 draw against Belgium , they easily qualified as group winners for the European Championship. There she was used in four games, but remained without a goal. The final was missed by the 3-0 semi-final defeat against the hosts .

In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , she played in the first game on September 19, 2017 in a 6-0 win against Russia for over 90 minutes and was then substituted on for the last half an hour in a friendly game against France a month later . After that, due to the ankle injury she sustained in November, she was not used again until April 10th in the World Cup qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina - even for 90 minutes, but then had to wait another year for the next game. She was then nominated for the World Cup on May 8th , which is the second time she took part in a World Cup. At the World Cup she was used in the group matches against Argentina and Japan , in the semi-finals against the successful defending champions USA and in the game for third place, which they lost 2-1 to Sweden .
