Trivia

Dufner is known for his eye-catching pre-shot routine, the “Dufner Waggle”. While standing on the ball, he “wags” the club several times from his wrists over and behind the ball before briefly touching down the club head and then quickly striking.

The “Dufnering”, which goes back to a photo that Dufner took during a sponsorship appointment in a primary school, has become famous. He's sitting next to some children on the floor, leaning against a wall, his legs stretched out and his hands tucked under his thighs, the whole thing combined with a not very interested expression on his face. This picture animated many other golfers to imitate this position and to publish photos that were taken in this way.
