Julius Boros

Julius Nicholas Boros (March 3, 1920 - May 28, 1994 ) was a Hungarian - American professional golfer. He was v. a. known for being the oldest person to win one of the modern major tournaments, the 1968 PGA Championships at the age of 48.

Life

Boros was born in Bridgeport , Connecticut . He won 18 PGA Tour events including three major golf tournaments. In 1982 he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame . Boros suffered a fatal heart attack in Fort Lauderdale , Florida in 1994 .
