Jason Podollan (born February 18, 1976 in Vernon , British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who played in the NHL for the Florida Panthers , the Toronto Maple Leafs , the Los Angeles Kings and the New York Islanders . In the DEL he was active for Adler Mannheim .
Player career
The 1.88 m tall winger began his career with the Spokane Chiefs in the Canadian Junior League WHL before he was selected ( drafted ) in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft as 31st in the second round of the Florida Panthers .
First, the right-shooter was used by the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Carolina Monarchs , two farm teams of the Panthers in the IHL and the AHL . His first NHL appearances for the franchise from Sunrise , Florida completed Podollan in the 1996/97 season . During the season he was finally transferred to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Of these, the Canadian was also only used in the AHL for a long time, so that in 1999 he moved to the Los Angeles Kings . Here, too, the striker did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player. This did not change with his last NHL station, the New York Islanders. Here he even played only one game in the 2001/02 season .
In 2002 Jason Podollan signed a contract with DEL record champions Adler Mannheim, for which he played for a total of three years. He then moved to the Ōji Eagles in the Asia League Ice Hockey , where he ended his career after the 2005/06 season.
