Jens Kristian Hansen (born September 3, 1971 ) is a former Faroese football and national player .
Career
society
Hansen started his career at B36 Tórshavn and made his debut in the first round of the national cup in a 3-0 away win against EB Eiði . In the first division he played against SÍF Sandavágur on matchday one and won with his team 4-2 away. Hansen scored his first goal on matchday 12 in a 2-1 home defeat by TB Tvøroyri for a temporary lead. The following year he won the cup final 1-0 against HB Tórshavn . In 1994/95 Hansen played briefly for the Danish third division team Randers Freja , after which he returned to B36 and won his first championship in 1997 alongside Jákup á Borg , Tummas Eli Hansen , Óli Johannesen , Julian Johnsson and John Petersen . In 1999 he was again in the cup final, which was lost 3-1 to KÍ Klaksvík . After the season he ran for four months for the Scottish second division club Ayr United and then returned again to B36, with whom he won the second league title in 2001 alongside Egil á Bø , Jákup á Borg, Heðin á Lakjuni , John Petersen and Pól Thorsteinsson won. In 2003 he won 3-1 in the cup final against GÍ Gøta with B36 , and the following year was his last for the first team. Since 2009 he has continued to work for the second team with a one-year break, and after the 2014 season he ended his career.
European Cup
Hansen has made 14 appearances in the European Cup. He made his debut in 1992/93 in the preliminary round of the European Cup Winners' Cup for B36 Tórshavn in the away game against Avenir Beggen , which was lost 1-0 away. After the 1-1 draw in the second leg, he was eliminated with his team. As champions, B36 played in the Champions League against Beitar Jerusalem in 1998/99 and were eliminated 1: 4 and 0: 1. He played his last two games in 2004/05 in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup against FK Liepājas Metalurgs , with B36 knocking out 3-1 and 8-1.
National team
He made his debut for the national team together with Henning Jarnskor on September 7, 1994 in the qualifying game for the European Championship in 1996 against Greece , which was lost 1: 5 in Toftir . Hansen scored a total of three goals for his team, the first of which was the opening goal at 3-0 on May 25, 1995 against San Marino also in Toftir in the same qualifying round. He played his last game on October 16, 2002 when he lost 2-1 to Germany in Hanover . The narrow defeat and the fact that the Faroe Islands scored a goal against Germany was seen as a great success in the country.
