Jochen Molling (born August 9, 1973 in West Berlin ) is a former German ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen as head coach.
Player career
The 1.86 m tall defender began his career in the youth of BSC Prussia . The left-handed shooter completed his first professional missions in the Bundesliga season 1991/92 for BSC Preussen, for whose outsourced professional team, the Preussen Devils , he was also on the ice after the establishment of the new German ice hockey league DEL 1994 .
In 1998 Molling switched to the Kassel Huskies , further DEL stations were the Hamburg Freezers , the Schwenninger Wild Wings and the Adler Mannheim . For the 2005/06 season , the defender signed a contract with the second division club SC Bietigheim-Bissingen , but returned in 2007 to the highest German professional league, where he played for the Augsburg Panthers . For the 2008/09 season Molling received a contract with EHC Freiburg, and played there until the end of the 2009 season.
At the start of the 2009/2010 ice hockey season, Molling signed again in Berlin and signed on to the ECC Preussen Juniors Berlin , where he played for the first team in the Regionalliga Nord, but also acted as a coach and supervisor for the youth teams.
In 2011 he ended his career as a player, but remained loyal to the club as a coach.
From 2013 he worked in Rosenheim as a full-time junior coach and from 2015 was responsible for the U17 national team alongside Sven Felski. For the 2016/17 season he was hired by the Hamburg Freezers as a junior manager. However, since the Freezers did not apply for a new DEL license, Molling switched to the Dresdner Eislöwen and ESC Dresden in June 2016 as head coach of the DNL team of the Dresdner Eislöwen Juniors and as assistant trainer of the Eislöwen professionals.
In April 2018 Molling was promoted to head coach of the professional team (DEL2) at the Eislöwen. After only 3 wins out of 12 games, he was released in October 2018.

Jochen Molling completed the 1997 , 1998 , 1999 , 2000 , 2001 , 2002 , 2003 and 2004 world championships for the German national ice hockey team .
