Leave between Paul Schilck and Elias Hügel concerning verbal and real injuries . (- verbal and physical "abuse")

In the arranged carriage between Paul Schilck, master stonemason in Heyl. Creuzer Steinbruch , in his own and his wife's name as the plaintiff, then Elias Hügel, judge and master stonemason all there, as the defendant, is from the praised Heyl monastery. Creuzer's rule over the written and verbal insults that were affixed and carried out by both parties "ex offo" (ex officio) canceled, the defendant gave the plaintiffs 6 guilders in cash because of Bader's expenses, as well as the same word in the face of both parties - even the slightest thing with other people.

In this case, 50 ducats of penal case should be set in advance and eternal silence imposed.

Final remark: the bather's expenses suggest assault and injuries.
Just consider: Maria Elisabetha, Hügel's first wife, died on September 5, 1728 at the age of 66, he himself was 47. On December 26, 1728, he married again. The first child with Catharina, Elisabetha, born on August 7th, 1729, died 4 days later.

Problems between Italian and German stonemasons

In August 1738 a violent conflict broke out with subsequent legal proceedings between the French and German stonemasons. (The Italians who settled in the quarry were mostly present in the third generation.) Here, only the spark that triggered it is to be explained, Master Schilck said while bowling in his garden : I am a German stonemason ...

Master Johann Baptist Regondi confirmed ... I hereby certify, for the sake of the truth, how that Maister Max Trumler shouted out on the streets at night, that the German Stainmözen defend with respect Huntzfider , rascals and Scheyskerl - is hereby certified

Rest of the honor column

Honor column for Elias Hill

After the death of the lordly administrator of the royal court, Father Raymund Vitali, on September 13, 1740, the Kaisersteinbrucher brotherhood was freed from severe pressure. He acted in the spirit of an inquisitor and had dishonorably removed Elias Huegel as judge. Johann Paul Schilck prompted as Zechmeister the Steinmetz - guild the establishment of a column of honor for Master Elias hill.

Due to the events of the Second World War , the column is not in its original place in the quarry area, but in front of the Königshof Palace . Since only remnants were preserved after the war, it was built according to an existing drawing in the stonemasonry museum and set up as a copy in Gemünden am Main , Hügel's birthplace.
