Julius Albert pitcher
Julius Albert Krug (born November 23, 1907 in Madison , Wisconsin , † March 26, 1970 in Knoxville , Tennessee ) was an American economic manager , politician and home secretary .
Life
After graduating from Madison Central High School , he studied from 1925 to 1929 at the University of Wisconsin , graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). He completed a subsequent postgraduate course at the University of Wisconsin in 1930 with a Master of Arts (MA).
After working for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and as Deputy Chairman of the Agency for war production ( War Production Board ) 1943-1944 he performed from 1944 to 1945 his military service in the US Navy . At the same time he was chairman of the War Production Board from 1944 to 1945 .
On March 18, 1946, he was appointed Secretary of the Interior by US President Harry S. Truman in his cabinet . He was a member of this until December 1, 1949.
He later worked as a manager in the private sector. After his death, he was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
