Justin Aaron Jackson (born March 28, 1995 in Spring ) is an American basketball player who is currently active in the North American professional league NBA for the Dallas Mavericks .
career
Youth and college
Jackson did not go to school for a long time, but received home schooling. He played basketball in a selection of an association of home-schooled youth.
From 2014 he was part of the college team of the University of North Carolina and was already a top performer in his early year when he scored 10.7 points per game. In his sophomore year he reached the NCAA final with North Carolina , but lost there to Villanova . Jackson scored nine points in the final. In the 2016/17 season, Jackson led his team with an average of 18.3 points; in April 2017, he announced that he would leave college and switch to professional business.
NBA
In the NBA draft process in June 2017, the Portland Trail Blazers secured the rights to Jackson in 15th place in the first selection round and then transferred him to the Sacramento Kings . In his NBA premiere game year 2017/18 Jackson averaged 6.7 points in 68 appearances, plus six games in the shirt of Sacramento's training team Reno Bighorns in the NBA G-League , in which he averaged 17.8 points and 6, Booked 2 rebounds.
In February 2019, he was transferred to the Dallas Mavericks in a swap deal with Zach Randolph , while Sacramento received Harrison Barnes in return .
