Kšinná (until 1927 Slovak "Kšiná"; Hungarian Kesnyő - to 1902 Kšinná ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Strážovské vrchy Mountains , about 15 kilometers from Bánovce nad Bebravou and 45 kilometers from Trenčín .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1352 as villa Xinna .
In January 1945 the village was burned down by the Nazi partisan defense group Edelweiss .
Závada pod Čiernym vrchom and Rakovec , which were incorporated in 1971, also belong to the municipality .
