Georgios Rallis's cabinet
The Georgios Rallis cabinet was formed on May 10, 1980 in Greece by Georgios Rallis after the previous Prime Minister Konstantinos Karamanlis had been elected President . The cabinet existed until October 21, 1981, when it was replaced by the first cabinet of Andreas Papandreou .
In the parliamentary elections of October 18, 1981 , the Nea Dimokratia (ND) von Rallis suffered a defeat and only received 35.9 percent of the vote and 115 of the 300 seats in parliament . The election winner was the social democratic Panellinio Sosialistiko Kinima (PASOK) Papandreous, which accounted for 48.1 percent and was able to improve the number of its MPs by 79 seats to 172 seats.
