The canton of Ax-les-Thermes was a French constituency in the Ariège department and in the Midi-Pyrénées region until 2015 . It comprised 14 parishes in the Arrondissement Foix , its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Ax-les-Thermes . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.

history

By decree of February 18, 2014, the canton was replaced on March 22, 2015 by the new and much larger canton of Haute-Ariège .
