The Canton Varilhes is a former French canton in the department of Ariege and in the region of Midi-Pyrénées . It comprised 18 parishes in the Pamiers arrondissement ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Varilhes . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.
