The Canton of Tarascon-sur-Ariege is a former French constituency in the department of Ariege and in the region of Midi-Pyrénées . It comprised 20 parishes in the Arrondissement Foix ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Tarascon-sur-Ariège . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.

The canton was mainly in the Ariège valley between the towns of Foix and Ax-les-Thermes ; the highest point was at 2196  m in the municipality of Rabat-les-Trois-Seigneurs .
