Karl Maria Harrer

Karl Maria Harrer (born November 9, 1926 in Ruhpolding ; † June 17, 2013 in Altötting ) was a Catholic priest and pastor in Munich as well as a prolific religious writer . His religious and literary focus was the veneration of Mary and angels .

Life

Harrer was ordained a priest in Freising in 1953 . In 1963 he was commissioned to build a parish as curate in the Munich district of Waldperlach . The church of St. Brother Klaus , named after the Catholic Saint Niklaus von Flüe , was consecrated in 1969 and subsequently separated from the Neubiberger parish of the Rosary Queen as an independent parish church .

Harrer had been a member of the Engelwerk founded by Gabriele Bitterlich in Austria since the 1960s and openly represented its private revelations . He was also a supporter of the Catholic Scouts of Europe , which was founded by the former Jesuit Andreas Hönisch and is close to the Engelwerk . He was also a member of the Legio Mariae founded by Frank Duff in Ireland and was a founding member of the Work of Heavenly Father e. V .
