Kasimir Wedig von Bonin

Kasimir Wedig von Bonin , also Casimir Wedigo von Bonin , (born May 1, 1691 in Karzin , † September 12, 1752 in Landsberg / Warthe ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Bonin, of an old behind Pomeranian noble family came from, had his military career as a riding Page of Margrave Albrecht Wolfgang von Brandenburg-Bayreuth started (1689-1734) and was in the cavalry - regiment in 1718 to captain ascended.

On January 4, 1738 he became a colonel and commander of a cuirassier regiment. From 1740 he was involved in campaigns in Silesia , Bohemia and Saxony . In 1743 he received the Dragoon Regiment (No. 4) and was promoted to major general. During the Second Silesian War he distinguished himself in 1745 in the Battle of Hohenfriedberg and in the Battle of Kesselsdorf . On May 24, 1747 he was appointed lieutenant general of the cavalry.

In December 1748 he received the Order of the Black Eagle for his military services .

Kasimir Wedig von Bonin, who was a brother of Ulrich Bogislaus von Bonin and Anselm Christoph von Bonin , died unmarried in September 1752.
