Katharina Vötter (born April 13, 1983 in Gotha ) is a German actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, Vötter attended the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 2003 to 2007 and graduated with a diploma.

During her studies she made guest appearances in the Sophiensaele Berlin and was a guest at the Salzburg Festival 2006 with the Nationaltheater Mannheim in the Mozart Opera Ascanio in Alba .

From May 2007 to June 2010 she was a member of the Vienna Volkstheater ensemble . From the 2010/2011 season to the 2014/2015 season she was engaged at the Landestheater Linz .

From 2016 to 2017 Vötter visited the heidelberg theater workshop under the direction of Wolfgang Schmidt and obtained the degree "Theater Pedagogue BuT®" from the Bundesverband Theaterpädagogik eV

Since 2017 she has been working for art der stadt eV in Gotha as a theater teacher, director and actress.

Vötter started playing the violin at the age of five . She participated in numerous readings, staged readings , concerts and radio play productions in the German-speaking area.

In 2009 Vötter was nominated for the Karl Skraup Prize for the best young actor.

In 2013, together with fellow actor Christian Manuel Oliveira, she developed the musical evening No Man's Land , which was performed in the BlackBox Lounge of the new music theater.

Katharina Vötter is the initiator of the Living Portraits , which have been on view in the CineBox there since the opening of the Musiktheater am Volksgarten . The Living Portraits are approx. 150 one-minute portrait films by the ensemble of the Landestheater Linz, which are presented in collaboration with Bernd Kranebitter and the Ars Electronica Center .

In 2018 she moderated the avantartfestival - the festival for the Thuringian Theater Prize (organized by the Thuringian Theater Association )

In 2019 she was a member of the jury at the Thuringian School Theater Days, held in the Schotte eV Erfurt

In 2020 Vötter will present the German amateur theater award "amarena" in Ludwigshafen (organized by the Association of German Amateur Theaters (BDAT))
