Katrin Filzen

Katrin Filzen (born February 5, 1976 in Lisbon , Portugal ) is a German actress .

Life

Filzen studied theater studies and American studies . She made her first theater experiences during her school days. From 1997 she played the main role of the sensitive, overweight Meike Port in the ARD television series Marienhof . At the end of 2000 she left the series; but later returned again for brief guest appearances. From 2000 to 2002 she completed private acting training in Munich . She also took acting lessons at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London .

In 2003, she played the part of the station announcer Alma , who has a wonderful voice, but also weighs a few kilograms too much, in the ProSieben comedy Schwer verknallt, alongside Matthias Koeberlin . Further television appearances followed. Filzen took on several continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles, including in the series SOKO 5113 , Um Himmels Willen and Familie Sonnenfeld .

In 2007 she had a leading role in the ARD series In all Friendship as an overweight patient who wants to have a gastric band inserted. In 2008 she played the maid Berta in the fairy tale film King Drosselbart . Another fairytale role followed in 2009, as the maid Tusnelda in The Goose Girl .

From 2007 Filzen also played theater again , including at the Hamburger Kammerspiele . At the side of Bjarne Mädel she took on the role of Helen in the tragic comedy Fettes Schwein directed by Neil LaBute . In a touring production of Euro-Studio Landgraf she took over again in 2009/2010 as Helen , this time at the side of Martin Lindow . She filled her role with "wonderful matter of course". She designed Helen "brave and frighteningly authentic".

In the Russian movie Faust by Alexander Nikolajewitsch Sokurow she can be seen as Gretchen's maid . The film was awarded the Golden Lion at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in 2011 .
