Lucky kid

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lucky Kid ( Kid Lucky ) is a Franco-Belgian comic series about the youth of the famous cowboy Lucky Luke, started in 1995 . In Germany, the volumes were published by Ehapa- Verlag in the same series as the albums with the adult cowboy.

action

The orphan boy Lucky Luke is traveling west with his father's trapper, Old Timer. On these trips he saves the foal Jolly Jumper and has his first encounter with the young Daltons. In later episodes his childhood with a foster mother is told in Nothing Gulch. While Am Fluss der rosa Beaver and Oklahama Jim ( drawn by Morris ) each consist of an album-filling story, the later volumes by Achdé are rather compilations of short stories, usually one page long.

In the band Lucky Kid (2011) the story is told about the birth of Lucky Luke. On the remaining pages there are one-page pages that deal with Luke's childhood.

background

Morris gave Jean Léturgie and Pearce the opportunity to start a series about Lucky Luke's youth . The drawings were from Pearce , who adapted his style to that of Morris . Before the release of the second volume, there was a disagreement between Pearce and Lucky Productions. The album was not sold, but published as a free supplement, which is now considered a rare collector's item. Morris stopped the series. Achdé only took up the idea again in 2011 and wrote the first Lucky Luke volume with Lucky Kid , which did not tell a continuous story, but rather one-sided short stories.

Publications

Lucky Productions released the first two albums. In the French original edition, the third volume of Lucky Comics was released as a separate series. As in the original, Ehapa published the first volume separately. In the meantime Ehapa integrated all albums into Lucky Luke .
