Klemen Lauseger (born January 21, 1982 in Kranj ) is a former Slovenian biathlete .

Klemen Lauseger lives and trained in Tržič . The student started for TSK Merkur . He started biathlon in 2001 and has been a member of the national team of Slovenia since 2002. He made his international debut in 2002 at the Junior World Championships in Ridnaun , where he was 23rd in the individual, 63rd in the sprint and 13th in the relay. This was followed by participation in the 2002 European Biathlon Championships for Juniors in Kontiolahti , with places 16 in individual and sprint and eight in the pursuit race. In 2003 he took part again in these two championships. At the World Championships in Kościelisko Lauseger was 57th in the individual, 41st in the sprint and 46th in the pursuit. Again the results at the EM were much better. In Forni Avoltri , the Slovenian was 23rd in the individual, 16th in the sprint, 21st in the pursuit and seventh in the relay race. In 2003 he also won a pursuit race in the Junior European Cup in Forni Avoltri .

Lauseger made his debut in Ridnaun in the early stages of the 2003/04 season in the European Cup and was 55th in a sprint and 51st in the pursuit. A little later he won his first points as 12th of a sprint in Obertilliach . In the further course of the season in Obertilliach he also achieved a top ten placement for the first time in seventh place. It was also the best placement of the Slovenian in the European Cup. In 2004 Lauseger contested his first race in the Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka , where he finished 90th. The highlight of the season was the 2004 Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof . The Slovenian finished 62nd in the sprint and came 12th in the relay with Marko Dolenc , Janez Marič and Matjaž Poklukar . In the following season , Lauseger started regularly in the World Cup. In Oberhof he achieved his best individual placement as 41st of a sprint race, with Marič, Janez Ožbolt and Jože Poklukar he came in the pre-Olympic Winter Games in the relay race in Cesana San Sicario on a tenth and thus first top ten place. In Hochfilzen he started in 2005 for the second time in a World Cup, arrived there in the sprint for use and was 81 end of the season was the Biathlon Mixed Relay World Cup 2005 in Khanty-Mansiysk , where he with Andreja Mali , Dijana Grudiček- Ravnikar and Matjaž Poklukar when Slovenia II season was 15th. After this season, Lauseger was only used on a European level until 2007. At the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf , he was 34th of the individual, 51st of the sprint, 42nd of the pursuit and with Danilo Kodela , Gregor Brvar and Jože Poklukar, relay tenth. The last major event was the 2007 European Biathlon Championships in Bansko . In the sprint he came in 59th place and thus just made it into the pursuit race, in which he was able to improve to 39th place. In the individual he came in 27th place and was ninth with Peter Dokl , Kodela and Ožbolt in the relay. After the season he ended his career.
