Konrad II von Salzwedel († September 20, 1241 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman . He led in the first half of the 13th century as Bishop Konrad III. from Cammin the Pomeranian diocese .

Life

Konrad II von Salzwedel was the son of the nobleman Friedrich II von Salzwedel.

In 1209 Konrad II von Salzwedel was first mentioned as Conradus de Saltwitele and as Canon of Magdeburg . In 1212 he and his brother Heinrich acted as guarantor for Margrave Albrecht in the alliance treaty with King Otto IV.

Still on October 7, 1233 Konrad was as Conrad de Saltwietel and as provost of Magdeburg called. When Bishop Konrad II of Cammin died in October 1233 , he had previously proposed Konrad von Salzwedel as his successor. On December 16, 1233, the Pope gave the order for the ordination of Konrad II von Salzwedel as Bishop of Pomerania under the name Konrad III.
