The 1988/89 season was the 18th season of the Korać Cup held by FIBA Europe .
The title was won by KK Partizan Belgrade from Yugoslavia . It was Partizan's third triumph in the Korać Cup.
mode
32 teams from 15 nations took part. After the qualifying round, the 32 teams played an elimination round. The winners of these games qualified for the group stage, which consisted of four groups of four teams each. The first in each group reached the semi-finals, followed by the final. The winners of the pairings in the qualifying round, the first round and in the semifinals, as well as the finals, were determined in the first and second leg.
