The title was won by Philips Olimpia Milano from Italy . It was the second Korać Cup win for Olimpia Milano.

59 teams from 24 nations took part. After the qualifying round, 54 of these teams played an elimination round. Five more received a bye. The winners of these games qualified for the round of 32. The winners of that round qualified for the group stage, which consisted of four groups of four teams each. The first two in each group reached the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and the final. The winners of the pairings in the qualifying round, the 2nd round, the 3rd round in the quarter-finals, in the semi-finals and in the final were determined in the first and second leg.
