Koski Tl [ ˈkɔski ] ( Swedish. Koskis ) is a municipality in southwestern Finland with 2340 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2018). It is located in the Varsinais-Suomi landscape on the state road from Turku to Hämeenlinna . The nearest town is Loimaa 30 km north. It is 57 km to Turku and 110 km to the capital Helsinki .
The Paimionjoki River flows through the Koski area. The place got its name from its many rapids (Finnish: koski ). The suffix Tl stands for Turun ja Porin lääni (the old province of Turku-Pori ) and originally served to distinguish Koski from the municipality of Koski Hl in the province of Häme . Even after Koski Hl changed his name to Hämeenkoski , Koski Tl kept the suffix.
The area of the municipality is strongly characterized by agriculture. 98.6 km² (around half of the municipal area) consists of agricultural land. The Os Hevolinnanharju runs through the otherwise very flat landscape . Only 0.75 km² is covered by water. The only two lakes are Hevolinnanjärvi and Liipola. Almost half of the community's residents live in the Tuimala community center at the point where the old country road to Häme crosses the Paimionjoki. Other villages in the municipality of Koski Tl are Halikkola, Harmaa, Hongisto, Iso-Sorvasto, Jättälä, Kattelus, Koivukylä, Koski, Liipola, Myllykylä, Partela, Patakoski, Talola, Tapala, Tausela, Vähä-Sorvasto, Vähä-Sorvasto, Vähä-Sorvasto, Vähä-Sorvasto, Vähä-Sorvasto, Värinkulmaä
