Kulturfabrik Roth
The Roth Kulturfabrik is an event hall designed as a multi-branch building in the district town of Roth in Central Franconia and the only cultural site on site that is regularly used.
history
The Kulturfabrik was designed as a multi-purpose hall in 1992 and since then has been the main venue of the Roth Bluestage alongside a large number of individual events . In 1995 the children's theater festival was added and in 2004 the Roth cabaret autumn . The city of Roth is the owner and sponsor of the facility. Artist festivals with works by regional artists take place every two years. In 1994, Bayerischer Rundfunk made a film about the Kulturfabrik under the title "The name is program", and in 2017 another reminiscence of its 25th anniversary. A short film was also made about the Rother Bluestage.
building
The brick building was built in 1908 as an electroplating hall for the Leonische Drahtwerke and was shut down in this function in the 1970s. After a few vacancies, it was converted into an event location at the end of the 1980s under the management of the Munich architects' office Molenaar. The building was partially encased in a glass construction. The Bavarian BDA Prize was awarded in 1993 for the architecture of the redesign . In 2008 the culture factory was renovated and a culture bar was added.
The event hall has a size of 273 m², is barrier-free and can hold up to 800 (450 seats). A stage of around 75 m² is permanently installed. In addition, there is a foyer with almost 400 m², several smaller multi-purpose rooms and facilities for catering to visitors. The rooms can also be rented by associations or companies for events.

In addition to theater, cabaret and jazz, around 1,500 concert events were played between 1992 and 2017. James Brown , Gary Moore , Eric Burdon , Klaus Doldinger , John Mayall , Joe Zawinul , Katja Ebstein , Nina Hagen , Marianne Rosenberg , Weather Girls , Asia , Barclay James Harvest and Mother's Finest are worth mentioning . But the Bananafishbones , Anne Haigis , Jamaram and Los Skalameros also found an audience in the Kulturfabrik Roth, as did Haindling , Spider Murphy Gang , Konstantin Wecker and Rainhard Fendrich .
As cabaret artists u. a. on Django Asül , Willy Astor , Dieter Nuhr , Monika Gruber , die Wellküren , Bruno Jonas , Rick Kavanian , Rolf Miller , Ringsgwandl , the Biermösl Blosn , El Mago Masin and Urban Priol .
