Art history service
Art history service in Germany refers to a group of careers for civil servants who require related training and education . The range of tasks primarily includes official business that requires a degree in art history or a corresponding professional training.
General
In the federal government , careers in the art history service can in principle be set up in all four career groups ( Section 6 (2 ) FSVO ). In fact, there are only two careers:
With the entry into force of the new Federal Career Path Ordinance (FSVO) in 2009, careers with a special subject will expire at the federal level. The careers of the higher art history and the higher musicological service were transferred to the career of the higher art history service ( Annex 4 FSVO ).
Career qualification
The career qualification for a career in the art history service is usually obtained through recognition. No specialist preparatory service (career training) has been set up at the federal level ( Annex 2 FSVO ).
In order to recognize the career qualification for a career in the art studies service, a corresponding subject-specific study of subject group 09 "Art, Art Science" according to the university statistics of the Federal Statistical Office or a corresponding professional training is required. These include the subjects of applied arts , architecture (architecture at art colleges), visual arts / graphics , sculpture / plastic , stage design , stage dance , performing arts / stage art / directing , conducting , printing and reproduction technology , gemstone and jewelry design, film and television , Singing , graphic design / communication design, industrial design / product design , interior architecture , jazz and popular music, bandmaster , church music , composition and art education ( Annex 2 of the AVwV to the FSVO ).
In addition to the subject-specific study, a full-time activity is required for the recognition of the career qualification, the type and difficulty of which at least corresponds to the activity in an office of the relevant career.
Other career types
The number of careers that previously existed at federal level was reduced by the new Federal Careers Ordinance from 2009 from around 125 to a maximum of eight careers per career group (maximum 32). In addition to the art history service, the following career paths can be set up in the federal government ( Section 6 (2 ) FSVO ):
- non-technical administrative service ,
- technical administration service ,
- linguistic and cultural studies service ,
- scientific service ,
- agricultural, forestry and nutritional science as well as veterinary service ,
- medical and health science service ,
- sports science service .
