The Lützel is an approximately 5.1 km long, western and orographically right tributary of the Bauna in the district of Kassel in northern Hesse ( Germany ).
Course and catchment area
The Lützel rises in the Langenberge in the Habichtswald Nature Park . Its source is located in the municipal area of Schauenburg, south-south-west of the Hoof district, around 850 m northeast of the summit of the Saukopf ( 511.4 m above sea level ) at around 395 m above sea level. NN .
The Lützel, which initially flows mainly south-east, leaves the Langenberge soon after its origin, running roughly parallel to Landesstraße 3215 (former federal highway 520 ) and crossing under the Ederseeweg and shortly thereafter the route of the Kassel – Naumburg railway line . Then it flows, reaching the Baunatal area and passing the Lützelhof, east-south-east and through Altenritte . Shortly after crossing under the Märchenlandweg , the Lützel flows into Altenritte near the border of the Habichtswald Nature Park at around 219 m above sea level. NN into the Fulda tributary Bauna coming from the north-west (at Baunabach kilometer 9.2).
The catchment area of the Lützel is 7.795 km².
