The Dortmund Regional Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of ten regional courts in the district of the Hamm Higher Regional Court .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is Dortmund in North Rhine-Westphalia . In addition to the independent cities of Dortmund and Hamm, the judicial district includes the cities of Castrop-Rauxel , Bergkamen , Kamen , Lünen , Selm , Werne , Fröndenberg and Unna as well as the communities of Bönen and Holzwickede

The Dortmund Regional Court is located at Kaiserstraße 34 in the City Center East district. The building is registered as a monument in the list of monuments of the city of Dortmund .

Superordinate and subordinate courts

The Hamm Higher Regional Court is superordinate to the Dortmund Regional Court. The district courts of Dortmund , Hamm , Lünen , Unna , Kamen and Castrop-Rauxel are subordinate to the instance .

Since the Dortmund District Court itself is presided over by a President, it is not the President of the Dortmund Regional Court but that of the Hamm Higher Regional Court that supervises this court.
