The inhabitants are called caudaciens . La Queue-en-Brie is the easternmost commune in the Val-de-Marne department. The municipality is located on the southeastern edge of the Paris catchment area . Neighboring municipalities are: Chennevières-sur-Marne in the north-west, Le Plessis-Trévise in the north, Pontault-Combault in the east, Lésigny in the south-east, Santeny in the south, Sucy-en-Brie in the south-west, and Noiseau and Ormesson-sur-Marne in the west .
