Santeny is a commune with 2,668 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Val-de-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . Santeny belongs to the Arrondissement of Créteil and the canton of Plateau Briard . The inhabitants are called Santenois .
geography
The municipality is located in the south of the department on the border with the neighboring department of Seine-et-Marne and is about 25 kilometers southeast of Paris . The municipality is affected by the Réveillon River . Santeny is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of La Queue-en-Brie in the north, Lésigny in the northeast, Servon in the east, Mandres-les-Roses in the south, Villecresnes in the southwest, Marolles-en-Brie in the west and Sucy-en-Brie in the west .
The National Route 19 runs through the municipality .
