Lah is a place in the Traunviertel of Upper Austria , and belongs to the municipality of Steinerkirchen an der Traun in the Wels-Land district .
geography
The hamlet is located about 12½ kilometers southwest of Wels , 2 kilometers southeast of Steinerkirchen. It is located in the Traun-Enns-Riedelland , at around 400 m above sea level. A. Height on the left bank above the Fischlhamer Bach .

History and sights
In the 18th century the place can be found as Lach , or Lah , later Loah . As with Laakirchen , the name is likely to be derived from the Old High German lôch ' forest , grove , wood , wood ' or 'alluvial forest '.
The two typical squares (Sölling 2 and 3) are still there today as they were 200 years ago.
