Gröm is a place in the Almtal in the Traunviertel of Upper Austria , and belongs to the municipality of Steinerkirchen an der Traun in the Wels-Land district .

geography

The hamlet is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Wels , just under 3 kilometers southwest of Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting . It only includes about half a dozen buildings.

The place is around 415  m above sea level. A. Height on the right bank above the Alm , which runs about 50 meters below. Here the Traun-Enns-Riedelland slopes westwards to the Lower Almtal . The hardwood and pine forests begin directly below, which are designated as the Almauen nature reserve  ( N125 ), which also belongs entirely to the Lower Traun European protected area ( bird sanctuary , EU11 / AT3113000 ).

In the 18th century the place can be found as Unter- and Ober-Gröbing . The three farms, two of which are typical today Vierkanter are, in the 19th century as the Obersgut , (Atzing 3) Untersgut (Atzing 2), and the Weingromgut called (Atzing 4) north.
