Lars Cohrs (born March 23, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German radio presenter .

Life

Lars Cohrs comes from the municipality of Rosengarten in the Harburg district and grew up in the Klecken district . Discovered in 1983 as a student by the then youth radio director of NDR , Dethardt Fissen, Lars Cohrs was presenter and reporter in the evening for young listeners series (co-production of NDR & WDR) and Christian pop music in the club on NDR 2 until 1986 . In 1984, at the age of 17 at the time, he joined the team of moderators for the NDR Hamburg-Welle (now NDR 90.3) and was a regular on programs such as Hits & Tips from Hamburg , Wählscheibe , Stadt-Wecker and Hamburg heute until he left in 1990 to listen.

Cohrs was one of the founding team of radio NRW in Oberhausen and hosted the first program of the supporting program provider on April 1, 1990, which was only taken over by Radio Duisburg on the first day of broadcast , as other local stations only started later. As head of duty , he was not only responsible for the daily program, but also moderated the first episodes of the Sunday contact program Herzflimmern between 1990 and 1991 .

A year later, Cohrs moved from Oberhausen to the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main to take over the editorial management of the morning program hr3-Pop & Weck . Live broadcasts in Hessian villages became known, which Cohrs surprised in the morning on hr3 in the village alarm clock . With Peter Lack he moderated the Saturday game show 0138/6000 . As “Duo Infernale”, Cohrs and “Lackenegger” were on the road in the 1990s in Hesse and the neighboring federal states with numerous hr3 disco parties . In the years up to 2000 Cohrs also moderated on hr television, so u. a. in the daily hessenstudio or the Seeparkspiele evening show .

In the summer of 1999 Cohrs switched to Radio Bremen as a presenter, editor and reporter . Initially active for the Schlager and Oldiewelle Radio Bremen Melodie , he switched to the new Bremen Eins in 2001 after the merger of the traditional Hansawelle and Radio Bremen Melodie . Alternating with Dirk Böhling and Andreas Schnur, Cohrs could be heard on Bremen Eins in the morning, and he also moderated the afternoon , music programs in the evening and the Küstenschnack from the Bremerhaven Radio Bremen studio in the Columbus Center . In addition, from 2005 to 2007 Cohrs worked as a presenter for Nordwestradio , the joint culture and information program of Radio Bremen and NDR. His broadcasts included the journal in the morning and the live discussion forum in front of an audience on Nordwestradio . During this time, Lars Cohrs produced the " Mittagspause" series for Bremen Eins , a daily column in which celebrities revealed recipes for quick meals. The series was not only broadcast on Bremen Eins, but also taken over by MDR 1 Radio Sachsen , NDR 1 Radio MV and WDR 4 .

Cohrs moved to NDR 1 Lower Saxony in Hanover in June 2007 . Together with Christiane Köller , he presented the morning program Hellwach alternating weekly . In 2015 he was heard as a moderator in the traditional Funkbildern from Lower Saxony .

In February 2015, Lars Cohrs moved to Radio Lippe in Detmold , where he took over the position of editor-in-chief. Under his leadership, the local portion of the station was expanded from 8 to 14 hours. In 2016 he returned to NDR, where he again presented Wide awake .

Since then Cohrs has felt at home in Lipperland. In his private life he lives with his wife Ilka, a real Lipper, in Horn-Bad Meinberg. Surrounded by meadows and forests, Cohrs finds the peace and quiet here to prepare for readings, seminars or even podcast productions. The daily stable work offers him physical balance, because three horses, two mastiffs, a rabbit and an always hungry cat also live at home.

After retiring from early moderation at NDR 1 Niedersachsen in November 2017, Cohrs supported the Bundestag member Kerstin Vieregge as an employee in the constituency office and, in the role of editor-in-chief, the Lower Saxony local broadcaster Ems-Vechte-Welle. In 2018 he resigned from the constituency office . In the 2020 local elections, he will run as candidate for mayor of the CDU in Oerlinghausen.

Cohrs runs the media office COHRS ... und gut !, The focus is on readings, production of podcasts and seminars for press and public relations.
