Lee is a city in Madison County in the US state of Florida with 352 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Lee is about 10 km east of Madison and about 90 km east of Tallahassee .
history
The city was founded in 1909. A railway line built by the Pensacola and Georgia Railroad in 1861 , which was completed at that time from Tallahassee to Lake City , runs through Lee . Today the CSX railway company operates on the route .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 352 inhabitants were distributed over 235 households. The population density was 110.0 inh / km². 80.1% of the population identified themselves as whites , 7.7% as African American , 0.9% as Indians and 0.9% as Asian Americans . 7.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.1% to several ethnic groups. 13.1% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 34.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 34.1% of all households. 78.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 2.97.
27.6% of the population were younger than 20 years, 23.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 23.6% were 40 to 59 years old, and 25.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 39 years. 53.4% of the population were male and 46.6% were female.
The median annual income was $ 46,719, with 20.6% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.

Lee is crossed by US Highway 90 ( SR 10 ). The nearest airports are in Georgia located Valdosta Regional Airport (50 km north) and the Tallahassee International Airport (approximately 120 km to the west).
