Leonhard Nagenrauft
Leonhard Nagenrauft (born March 9, 1938 in Bischofswiesen ; † May 22, 2017 in Berchtesgaden ) was a German luge athlete .
Leonhard Nagenrauft's greatest success was winning the European championship in 1967 in Königssee . In 1972 he was again third at the European Championships in the same place. Before that, he finished ninth at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble . In 1970 he became International Polish Champion in Krynica-Zdrój in singles and with Hans Wimmer in doubles. In 1971 the athlete starting for RC Berchtesgaden won the silver medal at the World Championships in Olang. In 1972 he returned to the Winter Olympics in Sapporo and narrowly missed the medal ranks in fifth. German champion in the single seater was Nagenrauft in 1966, 1967, 1969 and 1973, in the two-seater with Hans Wimmer in 1969.
