Leopold Fugger from Glött

Leopold Sebastian Ferdinand Joseph Count Fugger von Kirchberg zu Glött (* December 21, 1797 in Unterweilbach; † May 7, 1859 in Augsburg ) was a lawyer and district president of Lower Franconia from 1840 to 1849.

Life

Leopold Fugger von Kirchberg zu Glött was born as a scion of the count's line of Fugger von Kirchberg near Dillingen on the Danube and completed a legal education. He entered the Bavarian state services and was appointed regional president of Lower Franconia and Aschaffenburg in 1840 .

Leopold Fugger von Glött was a knight of the Order of Malta . He was married to Maria Freiin von Rassler († 1833) since 1828 and to Rosa Freiin von Gumppenberg-Bayerbach since 1840. He had two sons from his second marriage.
