Lindsey Durlacher

Lindsey Durlacher (born September 14, 1974 in Evanston , Illinois , † June 4, 2011 in Denver , Colorado ) was an American wrestler in the Greco-Roman style in the weight class up to 55 kg with a height of 1.60 meters. His greatest achievement was 3rd place at the 2006 World Cup .

Life

Durlacher was born in 1974 to Rich and Barb Durlacher. He attended "Buffalo Grove High School" and was trained there by Bob Tipsword. He later went to the University of Illinois and finished fourth in the 1996 NCAA championships. A year later he was runner-up. In college, Durlacher was trained by Mark Johanson. Other coaches Durlacher were Momir Petković and Shawn Sheldon .

He was a member of the New York Athlete Club , but officially resided in Colorado Springs .

In February 2011, he broke his sternum in a snowmobile accident. He was operated on on June 1, 2011 for this injury. He died in his home on June 4th. The cause of death is so far unknown.
