Lipowy Dwór ( German  Lindenhof ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community Miłki (Milken) in the powiat Giżycki ( Lötzen district ).

Geographical location

Lipowy Dwór is located in the eastern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, twelve kilometers southeast of the district town of Giżycko (Lötzen) .

history

The small Gutsdorf, called Lindenhof until 1945 , was created on August 12, 1857 from the earlier excavation of the shaft . It belonged to the municipality Lipiensken (1927 and 1945 was: Lindewiese, Polish Lipinskie ) in the district Lötzen in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905 and 1945 was: administrative district Allenstein ) the Prussian province of East Prussia . Lindenhof was assigned to the registry office in Milken (Miłki). In 1905 the village had 69 inhabitants.

In 1945 Lindenhof came to Poland with all of southern East Prussia as a result of the war and was given the Polish place name "Lipowy Dwór". Today it is incorporated into the Schulzenamt ( Polish sołectwo ) Lipińskie (Lipiensken / Lindenwiese) and a village in the rural community Miłki (Milken) in the Giżycki powiat ( Lötzen district ), before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Religions

Until 1945 Lindenhof was parish in the Protestant Church of Milken in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic parish church of St. Bruno Lötzen in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Lipowy Dwór belongs to the Evangelical Parish Church Giżycko in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and to the Catholic Parish Church Miłki in the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland .

Lipowy Dwór is conveniently located on the voivodship road DW 656 , which connects the town of Ełk (Lyck) with Staświny (Staßwinnen , 1938 to 1945 Eisermühl) not far from the town of Giżycko (Lötzen) .
