List of natural monuments in the Kitzbühel district

The list of natural monuments in the Kitzbühel district lists all objects designated as natural monuments in the Kitzbühel district in the state of Tyrol . The 10 natural monuments include, in particular, individual trees, with oak, linden and maples being placed under protection. There is also a protected group of trees and a raised bog. The natural monuments still listed were first placed under protection in 1930, the last in 2015.

		Chestnut tree at the Katharinenkirche	ND_4_23	Kitzbühel KG:  Kitzbühel City GrStNr: 574/3 location	The chestnut tree at the Katharinenkirche is a defining landscape element in the Kitzbühel city center. At the time it was placed under protection, it was around 130 years old and had a trunk circumference of over 3 m.		2015
		Grove of trees near Lebenberg Castle	ND_4_8	Kitzbühel KG:  Kitzbühel Land location	The group of trees, which was placed under protection in 1963, originally comprised elm, oak and several maples below Lebenberg Castle. However, only a few trees remain from the group of trees. The sycamore maple has a thick trunk base that branches out into four large main trunks at a height of around two meters. Two pedunculate oaks grow below the sycamore maple, one of which has a double trunk.		1963

		High moor on the Lutzenberg north of the Schwarzsee	ND_4_9	Kitzbühel KG:  Kitzbühel Land GrStNr: 3356/1, 3357 location	The approximately three hectare high moor on the Lutzenberg is a vaulted high moor with moor birch trees. It is surrounded by a meadow to the west and by spruce forest on the other sides, to the east of which there are remains of an old peat cut with a pond. In some trenches of the bog grow cattails , in the understory, especially heather, blueberry, cranberry, various sedges and peat moss.		1973
		Veitheneiche above Münichau	ND_4_17	Reith bei Kitzbühel KG:  Reith GrStNr: 402/1 location	The pedunculate oak, which is visible from afar, is standing alone on a pasture above Münichau. It is around 250 years old, has a regularly grown crown and reaches a height of 25 meters. At a height of 1.5 meters, a trunk circumference of around 5 meters was measured.		1997
		Linden tree in front of the Rautner inn	ND_4_5	Going am Wilden Kaiser , Dorfstrasse 36 KG:  Going GrStNr: 64/5 location	The winter linden at the Rautner Wirtshaus has a trunk circumference of around five meters and is branched several times.		1933

		Oak	ND_4_14	Westendorf , Holzham 109 KG:  Westendorf location	The pedunculate oak is located next to the Freihof in the Holzham district at 770  m above sea level. A.		1930

		Maple in Hinterkaiser	NDW_4_15	St. Johann in Tirol KG:  St. Johann in Tirol GrStNr: 3265/1 location	The sycamore tree on the Hinterkaiserweg is located west of the Rummlerhof inn and is around 30 meters high. The designation as a natural monument was revoked.		1993
		Maple tree	NDW_4_11	St. Ulrich am Pillersee KG:  St. Ulrich GrStNr: 442 location	The protected sycamore tree is located on the main road between St. Jakob im Haus and St. Ulrich am Pillersee. The tree, which is around 25 meters high, is heavily branched from a height of around three meters, forms a widely spreading crown and a trunk circumference of over 5 meters at chest height. The declaration of a natural monument was revoked in 2017.		1983
		Juniper tree next to the Grieselbach	NDW_4_20	St. Ulrich am Pillersee KG:  St. Ulrich GrStNr: 982/3 location	The 7.5 meter high juniper tree has a trunk circumference of 68 centimeters at a height of 1.2 meters. The declaration of a natural monument was revoked in 2009.		2007
		Ash in the Au district	NDW_4_18	Westendorf , Au 28 KG:  Westendorf GrStNr: 1309/2 location	The age of the protected ash, which is located in the Au district next to house No. 29, is estimated to be around 300 to 400 years. It has a trunk circumference of around 5 meters, whereby the trunk is branched several times. Some of the main branches of the ash have already died. The declaration of a natural monument was revoked in 2012.		1997
