List of protected landscape areas in Tyrol
There are 17 landscape protection areas ( LSG ) in the state of Tyrol , which are designated on the basis of individual Tyrolean state laws.
The protected landscape area in Tyrolean nature conservation law
The Tyrolean Nature Conservation Act 2005 (TNSchG 2005) meets in Section II comprehensive regulations on landscape protection (§ 5 General prohibitions , § 6, General authorization requirements and detailed regulations to waters , riparian forests and wetlands §§ 7-9). Landscape protection areas as a special protection category are declared in § 10 , and are
"Outside built-up areas lying areas of particular scenic character or beauty [...]."
The protection goal is the “resulting recreational value ” (Section 10, Paragraph 2 TNSchG), the protection of animals and plants takes a back seat here.
Landscape protection areas are declared by ordinance of the state government. Approval under nature conservation law - if this is "necessary" for the protection goal - requires roughly coarse construction measures ( structures such as foundation engineering , § 10 Paragraph 2 a-d), new afforestation (2 e), but also any "significant" noise development and use of motor vehicles (2 e, f), as well as - with exceptions - landings and takeoffs with motor-powered aircraft. Protective measures such as exceptions are specified in the individual ordinances for the entire area or parts.
