List of natural monuments in the Kufstein district

The list of natural monuments in the Kufstein district lists all objects designated as natural monuments in the Kufstein district in the state of Tyrol . The natural monuments include all kinds of monuments such as lakes, moors, parks, a fossil site, a river and, above all, individual trees or groups of trees. With more than 50 natural monuments, the Kufstein district has a very high density of natural monuments compared to other Tyrolean districts. The “Blue Spring” is the oldest existing natural monument in Tyrol in the Kufstein district. It was placed under protection in 1926. The most recent protection was given in 2011.

It was planted in 1908 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I.		1987
		Brandenberger Ache, in the area of ​​the communities Brandenberg, Kramsach, Thiersee	ND_5_61	Brandenberg location	The Brandenberger Ache arises from the union of the Red and White Valepp in Bavaria and flows south to the Inn. In doing so, it breaks through the ridges of the Brandenberg Alps, which run in an east-west direction, in several deeply carved rock gorges, which alternate with basin-like extensions. The gorges are a valuable habitat for numerous animal and plant species.		1988
		"Atzlriff" fossil sites	ND_5_41	Brandenberg KG:  Brandenberg GrStNr: 880/3 location	The Atzlriff above Brandenberg is a fossil reef in which mussels and snails can be found. The limestone layers were exposed in a steep gorge by a stream.		1973
		Berglsteiner See	ND_5_5	Breitenbach am Inn KG:  Breitenbach GrStNr: 5157 location	The Berglsteinersee is 714  m above sea level. A. in a hollow on the southern slope of the ridge from Voldöppberg to the carpenter. It runs from east to west and has a length of around 220 meters and a maximum width of 100 meters. It is surrounded by mixed forest, in the east a silting zone with a reed belt has formed.		1928
		Matzen Castle Park, eastern part	ND_5_38	Brixlegg KG:  Brixlegg location	The landscape garden in the English style from the 19th century emerged from a swampy Innau forest. The 15 hectare park covers areas in the municipalities of Brixlegg and Reith im Alpbachtal, whereby the eastern part of the municipality of Brixlegg was placed under protection in 1961, the western part of the municipality of Reith in 1972. The park includes four artificially created ponds, wide lawns and around 40 different tree species. Also park and garden area No. 41 DMSG		1961
		Trees along the Ebbsbach	ND_5_58	Ebbs KG:  Ebbs location	The natural monument is an avenue around 1.2 kilometers long between Ebbs and the Inndamm along the Ebbsbach. The approximately 70 trees mainly include horse chestnuts, winter linden and summer linden. The natural monument also includes a pedunculate oak west of the accompanying path.		1980

		Large maple tree on the Aschinger Alm	ND_5_47	Ebbs KG:  Buchberg GrStNr: 530/4 location	The sycamore is located next to the Alpengasthaus Aschinger-Alm at 970  m above sea level. A. The tree, which is around 20 meters high, has a short trunk with a circumference of five meters, which is then separated into numerous, moss-covered main branches. The age of the tree is estimated to be several hundred years.		1973
		Umbrella spruce on the Rietzaualpe	ND_5_20	Ebbs KG:  Ebbs GrStNr: 1296/1 location	The approximately 18 meter high umbrella spruce with double top is located at 1170  m above sea level. A. next to the Ritzaualpe on the northern edge of the Kaisertal . The trunk of the spruce is covered with branches almost to the ground.		1944
		Sycamore maples on the Erlenberg	ND_5_23	Erl KG:  Erl GrStNr: 1096/2; 1035/1; 1096/4 location	The natural monument consists of a group of trees and several individual trees, whereby the group of trees consists of five sycamore trees that are around 1000  m above sea level. A. grow on the edge of the forest above the Spitzstein car park. Another sycamore tree with a height of 20 meters stands around 200 meters northeast in the forest. There are three more maple trees on the top of the so-called Paschenkopf, north of the Moosbauer inn.		1953
		Blauer Quelle, Blauer Gumpen and the surrounding group of trees - Quellenensee	ND_5_1	Erl KG:  Erl GrStNr: 520 location	The natural monument is the oldest existing natural monument in Tyrol. It consists of the so-called "blue spring" and a surrounding group of trees, which consists of horse chestnuts, beeches, oaks, ash trees, linden trees and birches. The clear spring pond with lots of algae is also located in a hollow below.		1926

Bitumen escapes from the bitumen marl on the south side at higher temperatures.		1956
		Oak trees in the Hagau forests	ND_5_57	Kramsach KG:  Voldöpp GrStNr: 1739/1; 1769 location	The protected pedunculate oaks are scattered in a mixed valley forest between Hagau and Habach, which is also home to maple trees, spruces and beeches. Seven oaks had already been placed under protection in 1955 ( ND_5_24 ), in 1978 protection was extended to 18 trees.		1978
		Frauensee	ND_5_50	Kramsach KG:  Mariathal GrStNr: 190 location	The Frauensee is a very shallow pond that has formed from a dead ice hole in a depression below the mountain slope to the Voldöppberg. It is located northeast of Kramsach and is around 260 meters long, 125 meters wide and one to two meters deep. In the first silting stage of a still water body, the lake is surrounded by a wide belt of reeds, which merges into a flat moor complex with alder break in the eastern area. Swimming is prohibited in the lake.		1973
		Toteisloch at Krummsee	ND_5_56	Kramsach KG:  Mariathal GrStNr: 329 location	Around the Deadisloch, east of the Krummsee, a kettle bog has been preserved in a deep, triangular depression in the middle of mowing meadows, which is in the silting-up stage of a peat moss swinging lawn. The level of the bog changes by up to one meter over the course of the year due to precipitation and incoming groundwater. While in the center of the bog there is a raised bog with bulbs and gullies of peat moss, the area at the edge is surrounded by large sedge. Fertilization of the surrounding meadows also resulted in increased reed formation. The moors and rare plants such as the growing marsh club moss and wild rosemary .		1973

		Maistaller Moor	ND_5_34	Kufstein KG:  Morsbach GrStNr: 117; 139; 156; 202; Location	The Maistaller Moor in the Morsbach district was created by scouring in old flood channels of a premature Inn river. Only a small area of ​​water has been preserved from the original Maistaller Lacke , most of it has silted up and overgrown with a beak sedge ( Carex rostrata ). In the north and west of the Lacke reeds and stiff sedge grow . There is also a small population of gray alder.		1957

		Nine ash trees at the fallow yard	ND_5_62	Kundl KG:  Kundl GrStNr: .161; 1107; 1117 including location	The protected ash trees are spread across a meadow around the fallow yard. The old farm is around 1000  m above sea level. A. south of Kundl in a forest clearing.		1989
		Oak in Oberlangkampfen	ND_5_54	Langkampfen KG:  Langkampfen location	Next to the pedunculate oak is a memorial stone, which is marked with the inscription Kaiser-Jubiläums-Eiche 1908 . The tree itself is in a meadow at a crossroads in the village of Oberlangkampfen. It was planted on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I.		1976

		Large linden tree with field cross	ND_5_46	Niederndorferberg KG:  Niederndorferberg location	The 30 meter high winter linden tree is located below the road south of the hamlet of Hatzenstätt. A torture was attached to the trunk of the tree.		1973

		Egelsee with shore area	ND_5_10	Kufstein location	The Egelsee is a moor lake created by an Ice Age glacier on the state border with Germany. It is home to large populations of the yellow pond rose and extensive reed banks. In addition, there are damp silting areas with swinging lawns, numerous mosses, round-leaved sundew, raspberry and cranberries. On the south-east side of the lake there is a wide wet meadow with pipe grass. The natural monument status of the 1936 protected lake was extended to the shore area in 1978. Swimming is prohibited in the lake.		1936

		Oak in Endach	ND_5_40	Kufstein KG:  Kufstein GrStNr: 482/4; 429/2; 430 location	It is about 12 beautiful, large English oaks on the edge of a hill on the southern edge of Kufstein. The oaks form a striking strip of trees along a footpath.		1973
		Lurchweiher in the Kufstein Forest	ND_5_59	Kufstein KG:  Kufstein location	The Lurchweiher is located in the gray alder alluvial forest on the southern bank of the Inn at the level of the Inn power plant Langkampfen . The small, elongated pond has wide reed siltation zones, and the open water surface slowly grows over with reeds and is extensively covered with floating leaf communities. In the silted areas, there is reed and a flatly dammed large sedge ( Carex elata ) with hedgehog cob ( Sparganium ) and swamp rush ( Scirpus lacustris ). The pond is fed by slope water. The pond is the habitat and reproduction area of ​​a number of otherwise rare and protected animal species, including several types of dragonflies and various frogs (especially the common toad ( Bufo bufo ) and the common frog ( Rana temporaria )).		1986

		High moor above Landl	ND_5_42	Thiersee KG:  Thiersee location	The so-called Rohrmoos is located on the Jochberg north of the Rohrmoos farmer's chapel at 830  m above sea level. A. The mountain pine raised bog with a diameter of around 100 meters is surrounded by spruce forest and also has open water areas. In addition to a strong growth of mountain pines, the raised bog has occurrences of peat moss, cranberries, blueberries, heather, cranberries, rosemary heather and rushes.		1973
