Alphabetical order
Parish names with De, Den, Het, 's-,' t, Ten and Ter
In the case of municipalities whose names begin with De, Den, Het, 's-,' t, Ten or Ter, this prefix is not taken into account in the alphabetical integration. So stands z. B. The bobble between Bolsward and Bommenede .
Letter sequence IJ
The letter sequence IJ or ij is treated like Y or y within the alphabetical order, i.e. it stands between X and Z like Y. If both versions appear with otherwise the same letters (e.g. Bergeyk <> Bergeijk), the version stands with ij behind that with y.
