List of the richest Austrians

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of the richest people from Austria gives the estimated wealth of individuals and families. The list contains those people who either have Austrian citizenship or are resident in Austria. For the richest people in the world, see List of the richest people in the world .

The information on assets is an estimate. The assessment is based on research carried out by asset managers , lawyers , bank managers and insiders . Assets were prudently valued, unlisted companies based on their sales , profitability and market position. Assets include company holdings, property and real estate , shares , private collections and foundations , unless they are expressly charitable foundations. Large families whose assets can no longer be assigned to a manageable group of people are not in the ranking.

Six of the ten richest Austrians received agricultural subsidies in 2008.

In 2020, as in previous years , Dietrich Mateschitz remained richest Austrian according to Forbes . The magazine estimates his fortune at 16.5 billion USD (15.2 billion euros ), which he 57 in the world rankings is ranked.
