Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania
The Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania ( Lietuvos nacionalinė Martyno Mažvydo biblioteka ; LNB) is the national library of Lithuania . It was founded in Vilnius in 1919 as the "Lithuanian Central Library" and shortly afterwards moved to Kaunas . Since 1963, the LNB has its headquarters in the Lithuanian capital again. In 1988 she was nicknamed "Martynas Mažvydas" in memory of the Protestant pastor and author of the first book in Lithuanian, Martin Mosvid .
The library is a member of the European Library .
