Manx National Heritage

Manx National Heritage ( Manx Eiraght Ashoonagh Vannin ) is the Isle of Man's national cultural organization . The organization manages a significant portion of the island's cultural assets, including over 3000 acres of coastline and countryside. The non-profit organization owns land, archives, works of art, a library and museum collections through the “ Trust for the Manx Nation ”. It is the Isle of Man's statutory cultural authority and a registered charity (no. 603).

Goals and Organization

The aim of the organization is public relations work for cultural assets and the promotion of cultural assets with regard to public perception and appreciation nationally and internationally.

As the cultural authority of the Isle of Man, it is linked to the Department of Economic Development and receives funding from the Isle of Man government for core tasks and major projects. As a Charitable Trust , it is listed as Manx Museum & National Trust under number 603 and is administered by a Board of Trustees .

It administers the National Museum Service , National Monuments Service , National Trust , National Library & Archives, and National Art Gallery .
