action
The film tells about how CNN became the first news channel to report live on location in Baghdad in the middle of the Second Gulf War in 1991. After the invasion of Kuwait, the head producer Robert Wiener goes with a small television team to the Iraqi capital. Together with producer Ingrid Formanek, he competes with other broadcasters, fights with old-fashioned equipment and argues with Iraq over information - especially with Minister Naji Al-Hadithi . After a few setbacks, Wiener’s team is the only one to go on air within Baghdad while American troops are bombing the capital.
